RAID Works!

This morning we are assisting a client with a RAID degradation.

RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent/Inexpensive Drives. The function of a RAID system is to place stored information sent to the server on multiple drives so that if one drive fails, the redundant drive still contains that information.

This morning we are rebuilding that redundancy and ensuring that the server continues to run and provide all of the funtionality to the users. No information has been lost. And the server continues to perform normally, however a bit slower until the RAID has been fully regenerated.
